From the top of the RACK. A Philips Hue Motion Sensor that gives me both Rack temperature at the top of the rack and it also turns the light on when i open the cabinet door. Next is 4x Intel 9th Gen NUCs, 64GB of Ram and Dual 10GBE nics in the PCI/E slots running VMware vSphere. Next down are two RaspberryPi 4 8GB in Argon One cases with the M2 SATA drives for IO performance. Running off a POE Ethernet Adapter (RJ45 – RJ45+USB C) One Pi runs PiHole Exclusively and the other one does some packet analysis stuff. Also have 2x Philips Hue Bridges (need two for my 135 Hue devices) The lighting behind the rack is also configured to change colour based on the temperature of the rack. Next Down is a UDM Pro with a 1Gbps internet connection that uplinks to an Enterprise 10G 24 port switch. The Enterprise 10G switch links down to the Enterprise 24 port 1Gbe POE switch. Next down is an AC Infinity thermostat intake fan (above the rack I have a thermostat ducted turbine exhaust fan (maxes out at 1400sqft/min, but it never gets over 25% load) Next down is a Powershield Network controlled Power Distribution Unit (think network controlled powerboard). That switch plugs into a 2kva Powershield UPS. The UPS and Synology NAS (230TB) live in the cabinet next to my rack. The NAS is not rack mountable but has an12 drive expansion on top. Both the 12 bay NAS and the expansion live on a custom made lazy susan to access the back of the NAS easily. The Red cable is to drop the network from the internet in case of an active hack. White cables are for 10Gbe, Black are for 1Gbe, Yellow are for Infrastructure equipment like PDU and UPS. The NAS has a 20GBe backplane to the 10GBe and all vSphere hosts are using NFS mounts with jumbo frames. My vSphere servers run all my Linux and Windows VM's. I run 5 VMs I use as Docker containers. Networking is running 15 vLANs and all data types (storage, vmotion, DMZ, internal, management are all separated) Docker Containers I am using. VaultWarden
