I've been testing the Beelink EQ13 since early June, diving into both the unboxing and the review process. Initially, I was excited about this Intel N200 mini PC, which boasts features like dual 1G LAN ports, two HDMI outputs, and a low 25-watt TDP. However, my enthusiasm waned a bit after encountering some issues. After unboxing, I noticed that the CPU usage was erratic and the system took a while to stabilize. Running Windows updates exacerbated the problem, causing the CPU to max out at 100% for extended periods. Despite multiple attempts to resolve these issues with Beelink, their responses suggested that the problem might be isolated to my review unit. I even considered returning the device, but ultimately decided to record the update process to provide a clearer picture of the performance. Once the updates were completed, the EQ13 performed well for everyday tasks like browsing and watching videos, though its initial setup was frustrating. The cooling system worked efficiently, keeping the device relatively cool and quiet. From a consumer standpoint, the experience could be frustrating, particularly since not everyone is equipped to troubleshoot such issues. For those considering the EQ13, it can be found online between $259 and $299, though occasional sales drop the price to around $209. It might be a worthwhile option as a low-powered server, given its dual LAN ports and NVMe slots, but as a desktop for general use, you might find better value elsewhere.
