The slightly softer mood in US futures today, which came after the UK CPI data, also isn’t helping to alleviate the pressure. S&P 500 futures are down 7 points, or 0.17%, at the moment. But the poor showing in European equities has much to do with the heavy losses suffered by Wall Street yesterday.
