Bank of Portugal Governor and member of the European Central Bank Governing Council Mario Centeno spoke over the weekend, at the same event as Banque de France head Villeroy:
Centeno is expecting a relatively rapid low down for the rate of inflation:
- “Inflation is coming down faster than the way up”
- “We need to fuel this process and be very confident we can make it”
- Said that the EZ labour market is the “strongest” it’s ever been
