Comments from the Fed’s Harker and Powell are limited so far. The best I can do so far is Harker says:
- Fed is working on stable prices and maximum employment
Fed Chair Powell weighs in saying:
- Fed’s ambition is sustained strong labor market
- To get that price stability is needed. Fed is very focused on achieving price stability
- As expansions get longer and longer more wage gains go to the lower part of the income spectrum
